Chamber hosts an interchange between local employers and local educators

January 3, 2012

The Chamber Education Committee is putting together and important program called "Put Up or Shut Up" -- a structured interchange between local employers and local educators.  The purpose of the program will be for local employers to articulate to educators what they need in future workers -- and for educators to let local employers know how they can assist in improving our schools and the programs they offer. I thought that the program would be of great interest to CMHRA members.

"Put Up or Shut Up" will have three phases:

Phase 1.  An important 2-hour kickoff meeting on January 25th at which employers and educators will both talk about their needs

Phase 2.  Work by the Education Committee and other volunteers to design action programs to meet the identified needs

Phase 3.  Implementation of those programs

 We Need Your Help

We want to get a large community participation in the kickoff meeting which will be held from 3:30-5:30 pm on Wednesday, January 25th at Lewiston-Auburn College -- room 170.  Please let us know that you will join us in this innovative and important effort by contacing the Chamber at 207-783-2249
